The SAFE-T-L-153 is a 6 ft single-leg shock-absorbing lanyard designed to protect workers from fall-related injuries by significantly reducing the force transmitted to the body during a fall event. Engineered for durability, reliability, and compliance, this lanyard features an external shock pack that deploys gradually to decelerate the fall and minimize impact forces.
Constructed from 30 mm wide polyester webbing, the lanyard offers excellent strength, UV resistance, and abrasion durability. It’s well-suited for demanding work environments such as construction, utilities, maintenance, and tower climbing.
Both ends of the lanyard are fitted with high-strength alloy steel snap hooks, providing secure and quick connections to the harness and anchorage point. The metal hardware is rated for a Minimum Breaking Strength (MBS) of 5,000 lbs (22 kN), ensuring dependable performance in high-stress scenarios.
The external shock absorber is engineered to activate under load, effectively reducing fall arrest forces to within allowable safety limits. This feature is especially critical for user safety when working at height or in areas with limited fall clearance.
All stitching is done with high-tenacity polyester thread, adding resistance to tearing, environmental degradation, and everyday wear.
