Product Description
The SAFE-T-L-151 D-Ring Extender is a practical and reliable fall protection accessory designed to improve accessibility and connection to dorsal D-rings on full-body harnesses. With a length of 18 inches (metal to metal), it provides a convenient extension between the worker’s harness and the fall arrest system, particularly useful when the dorsal D-ring is difficult to reach.
Crafted from 30 mm wide polyamide tear webbing, the extender offers high strength and controlled deployment in the event of a fall. This robust webbing ensures durability under tough working conditions while maintaining lightweight flexibility for comfort during use.
The extender is fitted with a high-strength alloy steel snap hook on one end for secure attachment to a lanyard or SRL, and a D-ring on the other end for connection to the harness. The metal components are rated with a minimum breaking strength (MBS) of 5,000 lbs, ensuring compliance with demanding safety standards.
High-tenacity polyester thread is used for the stitching, enhancing seam strength and resistance to wear, UV degradation, and chemical exposure.
The SAFE-T-L-151 is fully compliant with ANSI Z359.1-2007, making it suitable for industrial, construction, and utilities work where personal fall arrest systems are required.
Note: This extender is designed to be used with a full-body harness and is not intended as a fall arrest lanyard. It should only be used as an accessibility aid for connecting to anchorage devices.
